What happens when you volunteer to take pictures?

1. You visit some beautiful places.

2. New perspectives become apparent.

3. You get to hear live music and crash band rehearsals.

4. Your friends find some weird stuff in unusual places.

5. That weird stuff inspires you to create.

6. and 7. People make all kinds of weird poses.
(Blair and Dan are JACKED!)

*Bonus: When you least expect it (I was on a bike ride with a friend), the landscape will jump out at you and touch your soul.

Humans see in color

Hello!
It has been some time since my last blog post. Williams keeps me quite busy and I simply don't have enough time to keep up with the blogging.

However,
when there is a nice opportunity to photoshoot here at school, I'm there!

When I heard of "Holi" I was stoked. It is a celebration of life and color that comes from India, and it involves a massive paint war!

I wasn't as adventurous as this guy

because I didn't want all those tiny little specks and grains of paint to mess up my camera.

This was the first time that I used the zoom lens that my grandfather gifted me. I was able to get some really nice shots of my friends without getting paint all over my clothes.

Dane went all out, and later he even took his shirt off.

I thought that Charlie would have been the first to eat the paint, but his picture shows otherwise.
JB's expressions are always hilarious and great for photos.

Deena is an artist. She said that one day she was going to paint a self-portrait with this picture that I took of her.

Eventually Cedar joined the party as well.

This next one isn't from Holi but it fits the theme. On Hairpin Turn here in town, there are huge icicles that form. Townspeople come and shoot them with paint guns and color filled balloons. I took the picture of this snowflake (the size of a thumbnail) with the nikkor-60 micro lens, which lets me get reallllly close.
