Read Me =)

Dear friends, I have not been updating the blog because I took a week off for vacation. I am staying with my aunt and uncle in the south of Portugal, in Algarve. Soon I will be travelling to Seville, Spain. I did not bring the cable to transfer pictures to my computer so I have been deleting the ones that would not have made it on here to have enough space. (I can only take 1000 pictures...it is such a little amount! Seriously) As soon as I am back in Lisbon I will do some updating. There will also be a few more additions to the blog besides pictures, but you will have to wait and see. I am well and happy, eating delicious fish and playing guitar all day long. There is one month left on this trip and it has been a true gift from God. I am so thankful for such an amazing experience. Time to go photograph the sunset and ponder on the wonders of life =P

To you I am sending my deepest wishes of love, peace, and happiness.

Unlocked

Here is a compilation of mysterious moments I experienced in Lisbon's Botanical Garden. Upon looking back on this post it seems as if most pictures were actually a part of me as they bring me back to feeling those specific momentsl. Photography can be extremely rewarding in that sense.

Some of the effects were added later, but others were on the go (see picture above), which is really cool because it means that I am starting to get to know the camera a tiny bit better.

Secrets in plain view

All you have to do is open your mind and let yourself be drawn away by the beauty of Lisbon. I went to the Northwest side and explored the north area of Bairro Alto.

Took the Gracia Elevator

which takes you to the S. Pedro Miradouro.

Amazing street art.

This is the "Lost In" esplanada. Only those who get lost, such as I, can ever find it.

They have all kinds of amazing imported tea.

It is a very pleasant place to spend some relaxed time in Lisbon.

Museum of Science

Amália Rodrigues' house that is now a beautiful museum. The inside is absolutely fantastic and majestic. She had an incredible life and her house, in my opinion, functions as a mirror that provides some insight into what her soul was like.

Beyond this door, is a piece of heaven.

Where our portuguese politics should, but do not happen.

I wanted to capture this dog holding the key. After a long walk up hill after getting semi-lost, I met the wonderful owners and got a break.

Largo de Camões. It is a nice place but I had no energy to go look for camera angles.

Last but definitely not least, the Church of St. Roque. It is absolutely gorgeous and you feel so lifted when inside.

I have more pictures hidden somewhere. I will come back here once I find them.
